Apstrakt

Dokozaheksaenska kiselina (DHA) je semiesencijalna polinezasićena masna kiselina i prisutna je u majčinom mleku. Igra veoma važnu ulogu u najranijem razvoju, posebno kognitivnh  i funkcija vida. O značaju nadoknade DHA se sve više govori, posebno od kada je postalo jasno da je zbog nepravilne ishrane nema dovoljno u majčinom mleku. Srbija spada u kontinentalne zemlje sa najmanjom prosečnom potrošnjom ribe po glavi stanovnika u Evropi. Kako je riba osnovni izvor DHA , značaj nadoknade DHA u našoj zemlji dobija na težini. Za dobru utilizaciju DHA i njeno optimalno iskorišćavanje potreban je istovremeni unos arahidonske kiseline (ARA) u odnosu ARA/DHA, najmanje 1:1.
