PALIVIZUMAB IMUNOPROFILAKSA TEŽIH OBLIKA INFEKCIJA IZAZVANIH RESPIRATORNIM SINCICIJALNIM VIRUSOM

Apstrakt

Respiratorni sincicijalni virus (RSV) uzrok je  simptoma infekcije gornjih partija respiratornog trakta, ali je i čest uzrok akutnog zapaljenja sitnih disajnih puteva najmlađe odojčadi. U  nedostatku, za sada  odgovarajuće vakcine, u upotrebi  je pasivna imunizacija (imunoprofilaksa) koja se provodi primenom  palivizumaba. Profilaksa palivizumabom je skupa. ekonomske analize i procene pokazale su da će pet vezanih  mesečnih doza za visoko rizične grupe odojčadi pružiti optimalnu ravnotežu koristi i troškova. Imunoprofilaksa palivizumabom visokorizične grupe  dece daje se po preporukama za profilaksu koje  izdaje neonatolog ili pedijatar pulmolog, a primjenjuje se  po svetski  postavljenim vodičima. U sve široj upotrebi su- Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Test-ovi : in vitro testovi za brzo i kvalitativno otkrivanje RSV antitela direktno iz nazofaringealnog sekreta.
