Apstrakt

Adolescentna plućna bolest povezana sa upotrebom elektronske cigarete,“vape” engleski, “vapoter” francuski označena je kao EVALI (e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury). U pitanju je povreda pluća povezana sa upotrebom elektronskih cigareta (e-cigareta), nikotinskih ili duvanskih proizvoda za pušenje. Značajnu pažnju ova pojava ima poslednjih godina, od 2019. kadaje postala ozbiljan zdravstveni problem, prvenstveno među adolescentima i čak školskom decom.

 Upotreba elektronskih cigareta može dovesti do teškog oštećenja pluća, uključujući sindrom akutnog respiratornog distresa po život opasno stanje. EVALI je pokrenuo brojne akcije javnog zdravlja na lokalnom, nacionalnom i međunarodnom nivou. Stručne organizacije izdaju upozorenja o potencijalnim rizicima vapinga, posebno za mlade ljude, i preporučuju izbegavanje proizvoda za vaping. Ove mere uključuju strožije propise o prodaji i marketingu e-cigareta i tečnosti za vaping, kao i napore da se podigne svest o potencijalnim rizicima povezanim sa vapingom.

Pokrenute su kampanje edukacije i podizanja svesti kako bi se javnost, posebno adolescenti i mladi odrasli, informisali o potencijalnim zdravstvenim rizicima. Za adolescente, roditelje, nastavnike i zdravstvene radnike je važno da budu informisani o rizicima povezanim sa vapingom i da promovišu zdravo ponašanje i strategije za odvikavanje od pušenja.
